Private updates for family & friends
Keep the journal. Make it easy for your people to follow along.
A family blog can hold the moments that are hard to fit into a text: what the doctor said, how today went, or the small milestone you want everyone to know about. Blogspot, powered by Google’s Blogger platform, offers a traditional blog. Sendet gives family updates a focused home, with password protection on from the start.

Blogger is a good fit if you want a traditional blog, enjoy choosing its appearance, or want photos and comments without paying for an upgrade. If your family already follows your Blogspot journal and it works well for you, continuing there may be the easiest choice.
When you’re keeping people informed through a hospital stay, treatment, or recovery, you may want fewer decisions between you and the next update. Sendet starts with a password-protected page and keeps your family’s story out of advertising profiles. Write your news, share access, and let people return when they’re ready. Pro adds photos, comments, optional email alerts, and family co-authors.
Sendet pages are password-protected by default. You can allow password-free reading, and subscriber email links also provide access. Family pages are not listed in a public directory and ask search engines not to index them.
Anyone with access can forward it. Share your link, password, and access emails with people you trust.
Keep your Blogspot archive and begin sharing new updates on Sendet. Add a summary of the story so far, then send your new link and password to the people following along. If your old blog is public, share the password privately.
Moving is manual. Posts, photos, comments, and subscribers don’t transfer automatically.

Blogger’s documentation describes advertising as an option owners can enable through AdSense or another provider. Its use of Google cookies and traffic analysis is a separate consideration from whether a blog displays ads.
