A free resource for families facing difficult days

Helping families stay connected
when life happens in a hospital.

Sendet gives families a simple, private place to share updates with loved ones during NICU stays, childhood illness, surgery, and extended hospitalizations. Built by a NICU parent who understands how exhausting it can be to share the same difficult news over and over.

Free written updates No ads No hospital setup

Our story

Built from a family’s
own experience.

David, the founder of Little Warrior Labs LLC, created Sendet after his daughter was born at 27 weeks and spent 258 days in the NICU.

During that time, keeping family and friends informed could become another responsibility on top of an already overwhelming situation. That experience helped inspire Sendet: one place to share news, when a family has the time and energy.

A little less to carry.

How Sendet helps families

One update. A little more breathing room.

One place for updates

Write an update once, instead of repeating it through numerous individual conversations.

Private by default

Share a password-protected page with the people the family chooses. Families decide what to post and whom to invite.

No accounts for readers

Loved ones can open a shared page without registering or downloading an app. The person creating the page needs an account.

Free when families need it

A page and unlimited written updates are free, without advertisements. Families can keep sharing written updates without buying Pro.

Who it’s for

For the people with
a lot on their hearts.

For parents, family members, and caregivers who want a quieter way to keep loved ones close.

  • NICU families
  • Pediatric oncology families
  • PICU and long-term inpatient families
  • Families navigating complex medical care
  • Caregivers managing recovery from surgery or illness

For family support teams

A resource, not a hospital integration.

An optional tool you can add to the resources you already share.

  • Families create and manage their own pages.
  • Hospital employees do not need to administer the service.
  • No hospital technical integration is required.
  • Hospitals do not need to provide patient records or contact information.
  • Inclusion on a resource list does not imply a formal endorsement.

A thoughtful approach to sharing

Families should choose carefully what personal or medical details they share, and have permission or appropriate authority to post about others. Anyone with access can forward links, passwords, or content. Owners can enable password-free reading; subscriber email links can also grant access.

Sendet is not a substitute for communication with clinicians or an official medical record. Read our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for access, data handling, and service limitations.

A few helpful answers

Questions from hospital teams

Is Sendet free?

Yes. A password-protected page and unlimited written updates are free, without advertisements. Optional Pro adds photo uploads, comments, email notifications, family co-authors, and The Village. Pro costs $29.99 for one year or $39.99 for two years (USD). Renewal is $10 per year, with no automatic renewal. Pro purchases are currently available to U.S. purchasers only.

Does a hospital need to register?

No. You can include Sendet in an existing resource directory or printed guide without a hospital account, technical integration, funding, or formal partnership. Families who choose to use Sendet create their own accounts.

Do hospital staff need to manage the page?

No. Families create and manage their own pages, choose what to share, and share access with loved ones. Hospital staff do not need to set up, maintain, or monitor pages.

Does Sendet access medical records?

Sendet does not connect to hospital medical records or an EHR. Hospitals do not need to supply patient records or contact information. Sendet stores the content families choose to enter, which may include personal or medical details. It is not an official medical record or a way to communicate with the care team.

Do readers need accounts?

No. Loved ones can read a page they can access without creating an account or downloading an app. The person creating the page needs an account. Commenting and reacting require sign-in, and those features require Pro.

Can families control who receives the link?

Families decide whom they send the link and password to. Pages are password-protected by default; owners can enable password-free reading, and subscriber email links can also grant access. Sendet cannot prevent recipients from forwarding links, passwords, emails, or copies of updates. Share access only with people the family trusts.

What privacy considerations should families understand?

Share only details you are comfortable making available to your audience, with permission or appropriate authority when posting about someone else, including a child. A page password is an access control, not end-to-end encryption. Updates and access can be forwarded, and notification emails may contain excerpts. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Review the Privacy Policy and Terms before deciding whether Sendet fits your family’s needs. Sendet currently restricts access from the European Union and United Kingdom.

Who can we contact with questions?

Email admin@sendet.app to reach Little Warrior Labs LLC, the team behind Sendet, with questions about the service or including it in family resource materials. Please do not include patient records or sensitive medical information in your inquiry.
